Even though all year R - year 2 pupils will be able to have a free school meal from September 2014, if within the last 6 years you have received:

  • Income Support
  • Income-based Jobseekers Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • The guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
  • Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
  • Universal Credit

The school can get extra money that can only be used to help your child at school.  If you think you might be eligible, please apply at all you need is your National Insurance number.  The system will let you know and also inform the school of the outcome.  It’s really easy to use and we are sure not enough families are claiming what they are entitled to.  Please don’t be put off applying because you may think there’s a stigma it is completely confidential.  If you are entitled, you should be using this facility, or alternatively, please complete the form below headed 'FSM Application form' and return it to the school office
