Wow Summer 2! 

This half term we will be exploring the text Emma Jane's Aeroplane and joining her as she zooms off in her aeroplane around the cities of the world. Each week the children will learn about a new city, their culture, food, language, and famous landmarks.

In English we will be focusing on writing independent sentences using our knowledge of phonics and letter formation.  

In Maths we will be introducing odd and even numbers, building the children's confidence in solving addition and subtraction number problems and building our understanding of money, shape, and positional language.

As July approaches we will be focusing on supporting the children with their transition to year 1 through PSHE, transition activities and circle times. The Year R staff will be making small adjustments to the structure of the day to support the transition to year 1.

We can't wait to end the year with a Year R end of year celebration and taking the Cygnets and Ducklings on their first school trip.
