As part of their 'Heroes' topic Year 1 had a visit from the fire service.  They learnt about safety in the home and what to do in an emergency situation.  They also learnt two rhymes: 'Matches and lighters never touch, they can hurt you very much' and 'Get out, stay out, call 999'.
