The whole school had a fantastic day celebrating Chinese New Year!

Every class got the opportunity to learn how to perform a traditional Chinese dragon dance. The children also had the chance to learn how to move and imitate some of the other important chinese animals such as a lion.

As well as attending an inspiring dance workshop everyone also had the opportunity to learn more about the Chinese celebration. We made dragon masks, puppets and chinese inspired fans and all really enjoyed trying  to copy some chinese writing and eating our snack with chop sticks.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the dance workshop the children all commented on how exciting and fun the experience was.
