Great Fire of Anton

Year 2 made some amazing Tudor style houses for their home learning project over the Easter holidays.  On their return to school these houses were put together to recreate Pudding Lane in 1666, and last week as part of the launch for their new topic of the Great Fire of London, the houses were set alight to create the ‘Great Fire of Anton!’  The re-enactment showed the children how quickly fire can spread when houses are close together and made of flammable materials.  The experience helped support the children in mapping key, interesting vocabulary to use in their work.
