What an exciting week Year 1 have had with the launch of their new topic – 999! On Thursday, they had not 1 but 2 visitors who talked to them about how to call for an ambulance. Sally, one of the call centre operators explained how they needed to be able to tell the paramedics their address and how to use a clean tea towel to cover cuts until the ambulance arrives. Dave the paramedic showed the children how to apply bandages and how to put someone in the recovery position. The children were amazing at listening to our visitors and had lots of fun taking part in the activities.
